Moira is an experienced Integrative Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor and has a particular interest in working with Children and Young People. Moira believes that children and young people have the ability to work through difficult life experiences when provided with safe and supportive emotional therapeutic space. Children and young people can move past their problems to build the foundations to a flourishing life.
Moira works part time as a School Project Manager and Clinical Supervisor with The Place2Be’s national children’s counselling organisation. Moira also runs a private practice working as a Clinical Supervisor. She is also an Accredited Alcohol Counsellor with Alcohol Focus Scotland
Moira's first qualification is in nursing. Moira has previously worked in Vietnam with the workers supporting street children, and in Latvia where she assisted a colleague run a workshop at an International Arts Therapies Conference. She is also a trainer on the Confident Staff Confident Children’s programme currently being run in Edinburgh.
