Mediation is an informal dispute resolution process which assists people in reaching an agreement, working with an impartial, independent mediator. The 2008 Employment Act and ACAS code recommend use of mediation in workplace conflicts.
The Perthshire Chamber of Commerce are holding a Workplace Mediation Seminar on Thursday November 12th, 12 noon -2.30pm, at Rowan Consultancy, 4 Kinnoull Street, Perth, PH1 5EN. The seminar will be lead by members of the Scottish Mediation Network, a registered charity that has as its purpose the promotion of mediation in Scotland. Sally McCartney, Partner of Kippen Campbell LLP, will also be commenting on mediation in the context of the April 2008 Employment Act and ACAS code.
This seminar is free of Charge to Perthshire Chamber of Commerce members and £20 to non-members. A simple buffet lunch is provided.
