Gain a professional certificate whilst coaching you team to success!

This course will show you the skills to empower and motivate your team members. Coaching skills help you develop your direct reports, by asking powerful questions provoking them to think of solutions for themselves. This course enables you to hold formal coaching sessions with colleagues, as well as using coaching skills on an informal basis as part of your job. It gives you a recognised qualification in workplace coaching.

Overview

The Level 3 Certificate in Effective Coaching is a concise qualification made up of three mandatory units which introduce the key aspects of coaching in the workplace. These modules are spread over four days, during which you will also receive three individual tutorials. The modules are:

  • 'Understanding good practice within an organisational context;
  • 'Reflecting on coaching skills within an organisational context' ;
  • 'Undertaking an extended period of coaching within an organisational context'.

In addition, you will need to complete 12 hours of workplace coaching sessions with your own staff. Each coaching session is evaluated by you and the people you coach, and this forms part of a portfolio of evidence required for the award. You also need to complete a short assignment, keep a coaching diary and develop an assessed personal development plan and reflective log.

Results for you:

  • Know what it takes to be an effective coach in your workplace
  • Understand how coaching works - learn a coaching model and tools and techniques to support it
  • Put your new skills into practice in your job - carry out supervised coaching sessions
  • Analyse, assess and plan to improve your own coaching ability
Impact for your employer:
  • Implement coaching to improve performance in your organisation
  • Ensure the managers you develop as coaches are properly equipped with the skills, knowledge and ethical understanding they need to be effective
  • Measurable impact from supervised coaching sessions carried out as part of this qualification
