Julia trained and worked as a registered general and paediatric nurse for fifteen years before training as a counsellor. She later qualified as an integrative arts psychotherapist and managed the counselling service for the Directorate of Women and Child Health at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. Julia works with Rowan Consultancy as a counsellor, trainer and supervisor. She is registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP). Julia works within the UKCP approved code of ethics and practice. Julia has been teaching the COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills for the past four years.
