Counselling and Psychotherapy

Counselling and psychotherapy offer you a place to discuss your dreams, dissatisfactions and difficulties with someone who is trained neither to judge nor advise. Our role is to create a supportive space where you can gain greater insight into your concerns and desires. We support you to find your own answers, to discover what you want and how you both move forward and hold yourself back.

Rowan counsellors and psychotherapists are trained and experienced in a variety of counselling and psychotherapy types including Transactional Analysis, cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred approach, Gestalt, psychoanalysis, integrative, art therapy and humanistic. We also have counsellors that specialise working with young people, couples and families.

Rowan offers a choice of online, telephone and face-to-face counselling in many parts of Scotland.

Can Counselling and Psychotherapy Help Me?

Counselling and psychotherapy can help if you:

  • are dealing with life changes
  • want to gain a fuller understanding of yourself as a person
  • have some problem that prevents you from getting on with your life
  • wish to gain greater awareness of how you approach difficult situations and make choices
  • feel you cannot escape from unhappy past memories or patterns of behaviour
  • are having difficulties in a relationship
“I was very nervous about attending counselling but would now recommend this to anyone having difficulties. I was self-critical … but my confidence built through the sessions and I was able to deal with things objectively again. I am now doing very well and will be reviewing medication soon. Thank you very much.”
