Counselling for Young People
Everyone worries. Life can feel like a confusing jigsaw. Talking about a problem can be like sorting out the pieces to build a picture that makes more sense.
Sometimes it’s difficult to talk to parents, friends or teachers about these worries. A counsellor is someone who will listen to you very carefully, who will not judge you, or tell you what to do. We hope the video below will give you some idea of what it is like to see a counsellor.
Rowan has specialist young people’s counsellors. Download our leaflet for more details.
Independent Listening Service in Schools and Colleges
Few of us are able to work well when we are stressed or unhappy. The impact of distressing or difficult situations can be felt even more acutely by children and young people than by adults. For this reason many educational establishments offer a professional, independent listening service or counsellor. When children and young people receive emotional support then they are more likely to fulfil their potential in all areas of their lives.
