Professional Development Award (Dip) in Integrative Counselling, PQ Dip. in Counselling Children and Young People, Dip. Supervision, Cert. Art Therapy, MBACP (Accred.), UKRCP registered.

Moira is an experienced Integrative Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor and trainer; she has a particular interest in working with Children and Young People and is happy to work with whatever issue the young person brings to counselling. Moira believes that children and young people have the ability to work through difficult life experiences when provided with safe and supportive emotional therapeutic space. Children and young people can move past their problems to build the foundations to a flourishing life.

Moira worked for many years as a School Project Manager in The Place2Be’s national children’s counselling organisation. She is a course tutor at Simpson House in Edinburgh teaching on the Children & Young Peoples Diploma in counselling.

Moira also runs a private practice working as a Clinical Supervisor. Her first qualification is in nursing. She has previously worked in Vietnam, Latvia and India both directly with the children and young people and training staff in the projects. She was also a trainer on the Confident Staff Confident Children’s programme in Edinburgh.
